Success Story: With industrial cameras on the way to zero-defect quality

Industrial cameras play an important role in the automotive industry to achieve the goal of zero defect quality. The automotive industry strives for a zero-defect policy to ensure that every product meets the highest requirements for quality, traceability and transparency. Industrial cameras are used in test facilities to provide imagery for various inspection tasks such as presence detection, surface inspection, measurement and digital photo documentation. GigE cameras in particular are suitable for high-resolution, high-speed applications and can be easily integrated into existing systems using standard Ethernet protocols such as GigE Vision. In addition, HDR imaging is integrated into inspection systems to evaluate the quality of colored surfaces such as painted surfaces and trim. The latest inspection device developed in collaboration, LumIT XL combines optical 2D and 3D inspection on large format objects, with a single static sensor.
