Development of automated low-cost system for analyzing ergot content in wheat samples
Your average workday contains
A tightening of the EU regulation reduces the permissible proportion of ergot in wheat for flour production. The grain collection points and mills have a need for an automated solution for sample analysis. A low-cost system is to be developed for the sample analysis of wheat and rye samples is to be developed and a prototype built. By means of image analysis and a micro-robot, the ergot grains are to be sorted out and the ergot and the ergot content weighed automatically.
